By Kevin Ferrisi – As a cherished local tradition, Bingomania on Woodward Avenue in New Haven offers a mix of entertainment, community support, and a celebration of diversity as Connecticut’s longest running drag bingo event to date.

The CtGMC is in its fourth decade of supporting and advancing the LQBT+ community through the power of music. The goal is to further awareness about worthy causes and afford organizations an opportunity to promote their upcoming fundraising events.

It all started as an offshoot of the Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus’ fundraising efforts. Each player must purchase an admission package. Be sure to return prior to 6PM to queue up in numerical order. Bingomania is a cash event. We play three Special Games of Bingo that are not included in the admission packet.

All the beverages you could want are available for purchase as well as snacks. Future BingoMania dates: 9/20, 10/18, 11/15, 12/ Bingomania humor has been known to get risqué, so 16 and older. There is no age restriction to play bingo though the humor is adult-themed and controlled access alcohol is served in the room.

Doors open, and admissions are sold beginning at PM. If you wish, you may arrive any time after PM and pick up a number to hold a place in line.

Since Bingomania is a fundraiser for the Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus, you may also consider donating back all or a portion of your winnings. Feel free to bring your own food. We offer a variety of beverages for sale, from soft drinks, water, coffee, and tea to beer, wine, and cocktails.

We also offer instant ways to win cash prizes with our Sealed Tickets Games. St. Thomas's is pleased to support the Connecticut Gay Men's Chorus by providing rehearsal and office space throughout the year. Patrons may not purchase an admission, or save a seat, for anyone who is not present.

This entitles you to play the twelve regular games of Bingo. Sealed ticket sales close and all winnings must be claimed tonight by the end of Game You must call out Bingo on the last number called. The non-profit also has the opportunity to staff a table at Bingomania, to distribute promotional materials and, time-permitting, address the audience from the stage.
